Description:

Last Run, is a Endless Running game that I and 2 other group mates created for our first game project in Year 2 DGDD. The game was designed to be put on a mobile device. These images above shows the game mechanics, UI Designs, Feedbacks and other gameplay elements we did for the game.

Story:

After being ambushed, attacked and almost total annihilation, the Humans form an organization, known as the "Resistance" to fight back the Demonic Apocalpyse.

Losing his friends and loved ones to the apocalypse, Cain decides to gather all the ammunition he can, to make a Last Run, fighting off Demons and Bosses. His final mission, to deliver ammunition to as many Resistance soldiers, hoping to save Humanity by doing so.

Boss Mechanics

After reaching a certain checkpoint in the game, there will be bosses that will spawn.

Bosses have their own unique attack patterns, and the patterns will change when their health gets low.

Being hit by a Boss attack does not kill the player immedietly. Players have 5 lifes when fighting bosses. Each time they get hit, 1 life goes down. We did not use health bar or icons to display player lifes. Instead we use a visual feedback that affects the screen, making it more red when player's health gets lower.

However, if player touches the Boss or the smaller monsters, he loses and the game ends. A highscore system is made to track how much "distance" was travelled. The further the distance, the better the player.
